Everyone wake up

That includes me…big-time.

I’m going to tell you why, how, and what’s on my mind in a few. Obviously I’ve been away for a few days, and during that time I had some enlightening moments. This may have been wisdom from the heavens or gas. The jury is still out, but for now I’ll treat it as the former.

Sorry…that was the dog.

Anyway, stay tuned…don’t log off “because it’s Christmas” and you have lives, families, travel, and all that stuff. No excuse!

Well, it’s a bit of an excuse…oh, okay. Excuse.

Still, don’t go away — and be prepared to wake up…or take some TUMS. {10}

Let me be the first to wish everyone

Frohe Weihnachten
and
ein gutes, neues Jahr!

Unfortunately no Internet connection where I’ll be (a house in the forest in Hungary) so Jon could you maybe send smoke signals?

Hey Jon and Fellow 10-ers,
Just catching up on a few days that I missed. “just becuase it’s Christmas”… I went to the gym on the 24th (didn’t everyone) and almost no one was there. It was freakily quiet. Today (26th) all kinds of folks were there, sweating off that Christmas dinner. I overheard the gym staff talking about how crowded and hectic it would be on Jan 2. Another “just because” occasion. I just don’t understand why people put off fitness. Why wait for a specific date to start? Is it magical? Not for me. Jan 1 has never done anything for me. I put off getting fit for years but have no idea why. Laziness most likely. How sad that most of the people that start their fitness quest on Jan 1 will have dropped out by Feb 1. Some may make it as far as March but by and far most of them will not. I’ve been at this for 6 months now and I just can’t imagine not doing this for myself. That’s right… for myself. Not for the spouse, or kids, or parents. For ME. Yes, I plan to be totally selfish with this. They will just have to deal. For the record, I will be at the gym on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s day! I can only think of one way better to bring in the New Year.
